Historical similarities between Venice and Otaru.
The museum was opened to showcase the shared history of glass culture, port trade, and the presence of canals in both Venice and Otaru.
１ Recommended Exhibit
A gondola used by Princess Diana of the U.K. is on display.
Approximately 3,000 glass artworks by leading Venetian artists are on display.
A mirror used aproximately 400 years ago is also on display.
２ Museum Features
The exterior is modeled after the Palazzo dei Grassi in Venice.
The museum recreates a medieval palace, exhibiting artworks in the context of the aristocratic lifestyle of the time.

Two staff members can speak English.
Brochures are available in English, Korean and Chinese.
